Cruising around in my new car

The kids having a little fun in their "new to them" car! :)

It's warmer again! Even if it's just for a day!

It finally warmed up enough yesterday that the kids and I could go OUTSIDE & enjoy ourselves! We took a wagon ride to the church playground, went home took naps, and then went back outside! It was soooo nice! We were all so tired of being cooped up in the house!

The kids & I had a little fun jamming the other day!

Christmas postings a little late

I'm sorry this post is a little late! We had a very merry Christmas! The kids received way too many toys as usual. :) Darren was extremely into opening presents this year. He opened whatever he saw whether it was his or not! Landen, on the other hand, could have cared less about riping paper. Darren opened most of Landen's presents. The kids "big" gift this year was a wagon. They & I've already fallen in love with it. It's much easier & lighter to pull around for a quick walk, than the heavy double stroller. Also, Darren enjoys putting all his stuffed animals or his brother in the wagon and pulling them around the house. But, Darren's favorite gift this year wasn't his gift at all!!! His cousin, Brook, received a stuffed cat that did all sorts of things when you petted it. Darren loved this thing. As you can see in the picture he really bonded with the animal. He toted it around all day. It was quiet funny! Well, I hope everyone else out there had a wonderful Christmas as well!

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas from the Brooks Family!

Couponing

I've been trying to save money on groceries for a couple months now. It's been going well! This past Saturday I spent $87.00 & saved $55.00 at Publix. Of course, that was excluding baby stuff, like diapers, formula, jarred baby food; those are killer to your grocery budget! I've been using www.southersavers.com. She has an awesome website! She tells you what the best deals are at tons of different stores, and what coupons you can use with each item. By using her website, I got 1 box of Green Giant frozen vegetables, 2 Healthy Choice frozen entrees, 2 small rolls of crescent rolls, & 2 small rolls of cinnamon rolls for free; and some Lysol Spray Cleaner, Instant mashed potatoes, Hamburger & Chicken Helpers, Mayfield Ice Cream, and Nestle Toll House Refrigerated cookie dough for super cheap! My husband laughs at me for getting so excited about my deals, but it's an amazing feeling knowing you can get what you need (& sometimes what you want) for a good price~like free! Here's a couple of other websites I like to look at:

For those of you, who really want updated pictures of the kids....I promise they will be coming soon. I've been working, and we no longer have internet at home so it's hard, but I will get new pics and videos up. Especially since Landen's crawling and pulling up to stand, and Darren knows almost all his body parts and can say several new words. They are growing boys!

All Grown Up

The kids just keep growing up! Darren's new favorite item is SHOES! Any shoes....All shoes! :) He will bring you a pair and they must be put on him at that time, whether it's first thing in the morning or right after bath time. He has also been caught trying to put on our clothes.

Landen is also growing so quickly! He's pretty much sitting up on his own now. He still tumbles over from time to time, and a "gentle" push from his brother will knock him right down. He also got up on his hands & knees today....only for a few seconds, but it's a step toward crawling in the next couple months!

In other news, Mommy got a job. Yes, it's true. I started working this week at a vet clinic in Americus. It's 4 days a week. I'm sad to leave the kids each day, but this is just for a season (which will be over before I realize it).

Until next time, Have a great week!
