Spiderman Birthday Party (February 2012)

Even Jonathan got a present from his Great-Grandma

My cousin's daughter wore this awesome shirt to the birthday party. It says Chicks loves Superheros.

Spiderman Time (February 2012)

The last 2 years I've made the boys' birthday cake. It's really not hard, just time consuming, but lots of fun! This year Darren & Landen begged me for a Spiderman cake. Spiderman was definately harder than last year's Mickey Mouse, but the boys were thrilled to see their cake (which made it all worth it).

These Boots are made for walking.....(February 2012)

Landen loves Opa's boots :)

Baking Again (February 2012)

The boys & I made some sugar cookies while at my parents' house for the week. We rolled some in sugar sprinkles, and used their thumbs to make hearts on the others. They were very proud of their cookies.

Landen's "3rd" Birthday Party

Since Landen's birthday came a few weeks before his & Darren's birthday party in Georgia, we made a cake and bought some birthday hats/noisemakers and had a little party at home. It was lots of fun, and Landen loved the attention.

Making Cake (January 2012)

I love to let the boys help me bake in the kitchen. Here we are making Landen's birthday cake. Yummy! Jonathan enjoyed watching us from below :)

Happy Birthday Landen (January 2012)

Jesus' Birthday Cake (December 2011)

Another tradition the boys & I enjoy is making a birthday cake for Jesus. This year we made a 6 layer red velvet cake. It was delicious!

Jonathan @ 8 months old (well 8 1/2 months old)

Jonathan's thinking "hmmm...can I touch this ornament?"

Now he's thinking "I wonder what this taste like?"

Now he's thinking "Is anybody watching me?" :)

Christmas Morning (December 2011)

Here are a few pictures from Christmas morning. This year the biggest hit were the Cars2 legos. Even Jonathan enjoys chewing on them because they are much too big for him to fit completely in his mouth.

Our Christmas Tree (December 2011)

Since the boys & I didn't come to Mississippi until the week before Christmas, Tony was in charge of putting up the Christmas decor. He did an excellent job! We drove up to the house, the night we arrived in MS, after dark and Tony had put lights on the house and turned them on. The boys loved that! Inside the house he had different niknaks around and the tree up and fully decorated. He is an awesome husband and I'm blessed to have him!

Christmas Cookies (December 2011)

Every year, the boys & I make Christmas cookies. It's so much fun! They really get into it, and I love making traditions with them that we will always remember! This year ,after we baked our cookies, I let Darren & Landen use paintbrushes to brush the icing onto the cookies. It worked really well. The cookies on the top were decorated by Darren, and the cookies on the bottom were decorated by Landen.

Moving to Mississippi

In November 2011, We took a position at Bel-Aire Baptist Church in Gulfport, MS. Tony moved over right after Thanksgiving to begin his new position as Associate Pastor of Family Ministries, but since we had not closed on a house yet the boys and I stayed at my parents house for about 5 weeks. This was a difficult time for us to be apart from Tony, but we survived. Two weeks before Christmas we closed on a house, and the boys & I headed over the week before Christmas. We thank God for all the friends he blessed us with in Ellaville, and look forward to all the wonderful things he will do in Gulfport!
