Decorating the Christmas Tree

Tony, I , and the boys got to help my parent's decorate their christmas tree. The boys loved getting to touch all the ornaments.

This past November we got to go to Gulf Shores, AL with Tony's parents. We had an awesome time despite the bad weather the last 3 days. Here's some pictures from the one day we got to go down to the beach.

Belly Laughs from BabyCenter.com

Announcing your pregnancy
You have to be prepared for all kinds of reactions when you announce your pregnancy. Some of our favorites:
• "Why?"
• "How did this happen?"
• "Uh-oh!"
• "You know what causes this, don't you?"

How to have morning sickness in public
• Pretend you're looking for something deep inside your purse – then snap it shut and discard.
• "Want to see my impression of Old Faithful?"
• "I'm sorry about your shoes."
• "Maybe next time don't eat your Pad Thai so close to me, okay?"

"Bug Bites"???

Darren has gotten these "bites" since we've been visiting family in Eastman. Nobody else in either household has gotten any. Anybody got any idea what it might be? Fleas?

Baby #3 on the way

Yep! I'm pregnant with our 3rd child. It's still surreal. I'm only about 6 weeks along, so I'm still nervous about the pregnancy. I'm trying to remember that God is in control, and He takes care of everything (especially those things that are out of my hands). My first doctor's appointment is September 13th. It seems like forever away. Please pray for us as we make this transition. Thanks!

Potty Training Success

I believe we can say that Darren is successfully potty trained. He is no longer wearing diapers or pull-ups. He has completely used the potty alone without any prompting since Friday morning. That includes Friday night! We had our first "dry" night! WooHoo! And to make it all even more successful, we've been at my parent's house since Thursday afternoon, and no accidents. He's been a trooper and done great! My little boy's growing up!

Potty Time

It's almost potty training time! I can't believe how time flies. Darren will be 2 1/2 years old in 2 months, and i'm trying to come up with a plan on how we will go about potty training him. He seems very interested in the process. He tells us when he's pooped (or about to) and pee'd. So I'm asking for advice from my fellow mom's (and dad's) out there. How did you potty train your children?

Fun with Friends

While Tony's out of town, the kids & I went to Eastman for the week. We got to spend one evening with some good friends. Here's a picture of Darren & Landen with Katelyn, Kenzie, & Dawson Spires.

Mother's Day 2010

It's hard to believe this was my 3rd Mother's Day! My how time flies! It was a great day. After church, Tony & the boys took me to Texas Roadhouse. The restraunt had a children's table, with playdoh, cookie cutters, and sidewalk chalk, set up outside. That made the 35 minute wait very enjoyable. We had a great time. I truly love being a mother!

We love playing with Daddy!

Too Cute

The kids dressing like dad! :)

I love my teddy bear

Darren & Landen love this giant teddy bear, who is about the same size as Landen!

Easter Egg Hunt #2

Darren playing a little dunk the football in the basketball hoop before the hunt begins.

Landen extremely tired after a day of two easter egg hunts.
After hunting eggs at my parent's church, we went to Tony's parent's house for our second egg hunt. The kids had a blast hunting eggs with their cousins.

Easter Egg Hunt #1

Tony & I took the boys to an easter egg hunt at my parent's church, Cadwell Baptist Church. They had a great time! Here's a few pictures of them searching for eggs with the other toddlers.

Overdramatic Smiles

Landen being a little overdramatic when I asked him to smile.

Helping Daddy in the Garden

Darren recently wanted to help Tony in the garden. He wanted gloves, a hat, and shovel. Cute little man :)

A little behind

I don't have access to the internet at home, and it's hard to get the Tony's office to blog regularly. BUT, I'm staying at my parent's house 3 different weeks this summer so I hope to get everyone caught up with the Brooks' family! :) Just be patient with me.
